AAWG Used for DWDM System
AAWG is based on silica-on-silicon planar technology and no electrical power and temperature control is required. A variety of commonly used configurations such as 24, 32, 40, 44, 48 channels can be provided, which are all available in standalone 19’’ or 23’’ 1RU/2RU rack mount, field metal box.
FEATURES:
No electrical power required
100GHz/50GHz Channel Spacing now available,
Ultra-low loss (<3.5dB) available for 100GHz
Available in MUX and DEMUX configurations
Fully transparent to all data rates and protocols
Exceptional reliability and stability
Telcordia GR-1221/1209-CORE Compliant
APPLICATIONS:
MUX and DEMUX DWDM Systems
Long Haul, Metro
Wavelength Routing
WDM-PON
Internal Structure of AWG:
Coming out from a single fiber, different colored lights are distributed by the AWG chip and then go into different ribbon fibers.
AAWG Thermal Stability:
Due to the fact that the refractive index of SiO2 and the dimension may change with temperature shift, the central wavelength of each channel may shift when temperature changes.
Wavelength change rate: 11.2pm/℃. (0.7pm after compensation), by use of a special mechanical system, we can compensate for the wavelength shift caused by temperature change.
